Spring Flowering Tree by Path

Springtime often urges me to get out with my camera and capture its beauty. In this picture, I was a little ways from home, on a bike path that I rarely visit. Some days, I'm just lucky when I have my camera handy, but this day I purposely went out searching for something beautiful.

As I was heading down the path, I was trying to compose an image, but it wasn't until I saw this treebranch that I knew what I wanted. I saw this image in my mind's eye, and it took a few tries before I felt like I had captured it adequately (that is, without the powerlines that were overhead!) This was trickier to get than I thought when I was composing it, but I didn't give up, and eventually had a few that were worth keeping. This one is my favourite of those few.
